So I’ve been ignoring this blog for a while. Mostly because I’ve been going to all the matches here in Sri Lanka and am too exhausted afterwards to rant about them
(CAN SOMEONE PROVIDE MATHEWS WITH SOME SUPPORT, PLEASE?!)
But I’ve also been working on something else. Namely, this blog. I would really appreciate it if you guys could check it out (and perhaps give it a follow!)
I shall be back to posting/ranting in this one soon enough.
Until then, take care, cric fam. Much love. <3
So I’m at the cricket. Malinga is sitting a few empty seats away from me. And he’s wearing a beret. Help.
The boys celebrate Sri Lanka’s first ever test series win in England | 24 June 2014
On paper this Sri Lanka should never beat England. They should have been outgunned in almost every way. In preparation. Financial. Backroom. Coaching. Facilities. And even in the players who were involved. Virtually every single thing about England should have been better than Sri Lanka…but on the 55th ball, a world-class professional sportsman was bounced by the sixth-fastest bowler from the North Western Province and caught by a chubby slow guy from Kurunegala.
The pearl and the bank clerk. Sri Lanka is a special place.
